Photography is my air.

I saw a quote somewhere once about how if all you can think about is the thing you want to do, from the moment you wake to the moment you go to sleep, then that’s how you know you were meant for it.

Growing up, my father’s photography adorned our walls, the darkroom taking over half the garage. My early memories are of weekends at Berkeley Open studios, watching my parents talk with the artists as they purchased their work (one of which hangs in my bedroom now).

I’ve been behind the camera longer than I can remember. Maybe that’s why it took me so long to find my way back home to it. It always just seemed like a personal passion.

And then in 2016 my children and I started modeling locally. The camera I was using to capture family moments and sports games was finally needed for work! As we booked work with Levi’s and Old Navy, people started asking for my help getting started with photos. As my portfolio grew, I started to fall more and more in love with the life behind the camera again.

During the pandemic, I had to pivot and find my passion once again. A friend suggested weddings and it was my “hallelujah” moment. I love seeing love. I love reading about love. I love photographing love. I love parental love. I love old people love. I love newborn love. I LOVE LOVE.

If you took the time to read all that, thank you.

Get to know me a little better…..

Pet Peeves!

People who steal all the popcorn. I’m looking at you people who grab it by the handful! Lateness, I once had a boss in college tell me “If you’re early, you’re on time. If you’re on time, you’re late. If you’re late, you’re fired.” I live by these words! You can always expect me to be early wherever I go!

Dogs or Cats?

Both! I have a kitty named Kali who is just the snuggliest. If I sit down, she is on me immediately for cuddles. Lily is my Yorkshire Terrier mix that we rescued during the pandemic. She is obsessed with fetch and the pickiest eater!

Favorite Things?

I would be remiss if I didn’t of course mention my amazing kids and husband. But as a woman, I also love video games, trying new restaurants, hanging out with my girlfriends. Most nights you’ll find me relaxing to Late Night shows while playing games on my phone!

Schooling

I graduated from St. Mary’s College of California with a Bachelor of Arts in 2010. It was a huge accomplishment for me and it was a moment that I will always remember because my oldest was there to watch it. She often would sit with me as I did my homework, encouraging me to work hard. She was truly the inspiration for me to go to school and graduate!

Travel

Yes, please! I love traveling. It’s not something I get to do as often but I spent most summers traveling by plane ALONE to see my relatives on the East Coast. At 15, I was blessed to take a six-week tour of Israel. And I was beyond blessed to win a trip to Australia from a local radio station! I’m always up for an adventure!

Music

I’m a girl who grew up on the Traveling Wilbury’s, The Beatles, and the Rolling Stones with a healthy dosing of musicals thrown in. I’ve known every lyric to My Fair Lady for as long as I can remember. In my teen years I fell in love with Hanson and have been so lucky to not only meet them but INTERVIEW them while I was in college. I also worked for a heavy metal radio station 90.5 The Edge as a DJ for a few years and also developed a love of metal too!
